Be aware

  • Heavy (starting at 27 lbs)

  • Expensive

The UPPAbaby Vista V2 is a popular full-size stroller from a much-loved baby product brand. It’s well designed, built to last, looks great, and comes in several colors. Functionally, it offers three seating options and one standing: infant car seat (sold separately), infant bassinet, toddler seat, and a kickboard called a “Piggyback” (sold separately). With multiple configuration options like a reversible toddler seat, height adjustable canopy, and expansion options (additional cost) to stroller up to three kids at one time, everyone in the family can customize to their liking.

Although the base model doesn’t have a budget friendly price point at $1100, The Vista V2 can truly grow with your kids, and is durable enough to withstand use by yet-to-come siblings (if you’re planning to have more than one). Plus, the price includes all important accessories that other brands often sell separately, like bug and rain shields for both the toddler seat and bassinet, plus a bassinet storage bag.

We also like that UPPAbaby has stroller adapters for other car seat brands, including Maxi-Cosi, Nuna, Cybex, and Chicco, so you’ll never feel suckered into buying their full suite of products, although it’s easy to get carried away (no pun intended) with their fabulous stroller expansion options and accessories (additional cost). These include products for twins, two toddlers, that coveted kickboard that allows room for three, and also day-to-day essentials like a changing backpack, basket cover, carry-all parent organizer, and cozy handmuffs, to name a few. But be aware: a tricked out UPPAbaby Vista V2, including the MESA car seat, will cost you upwards of $2000 after tax, certainly not an accessible price point for all families.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is UPPAbaby a good brand?

UPPAbaby is an American brand founded in 2006 that has amassed a loyal customer following. It is run and owned by the Monahan husband and wife team with the mission: to make high-quality baby products that fit the needs of your new life as a parent, while appealing to style. Their website reports their products meet the most stringent industry standards required by the Juvenile Product Manufacturing Association (JPMA) and the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC). And they offer extended and limited warranties on their products.

Why is UPPAbaby stroller so expensive?

The UPPAbaby Vista V2 comes with many accessories, has higher quality materials, sleek product design, and great warranties, all of which contribute to its high price point. UPPAbaby also considers itself a “premium” brand.

Is the UPPAbaby VISTA V2 heavy?

UPPAbaby Vista V2 is a tank, starting at 27 lbs with just one seat (more when leveraging expansion options). It's easy and smooth to move around, so you don't feel the weight while in use (unless pushing up a hill). The weight is noticeable when lifting in and out of a vehicle. For comparison, the BOB Rambler Jogging Stroller weighs in at just over 25 lbs..

Does the VISTA V2 come with car seat?

No, but you can purchase the UPPAbaby MESA infant car seat separately, which is compatible with the Vista V2 stroller instead of using the bassinet. Or, you can purchase a stroller adapter that allows you to leverage select Maxi-Cosi, Nuna, Cybex, or Chicco car seats.
